Tips for a pleasant museum visit
We kindly ask you to take the following into account when visiting the museum to ensure everyone has a pleasant time.

- Please place umbrellas, backpacks and bags (larger than A4) in the lockers for your own convenience and to prevent damage to the exhibits. If your bag does not fit in the lockers, the information-desk staff will be happy to look after it.
- The exhibits are vulnerable and we would like future generations also to enjoy them. However tempting, it is not permitted to touch the exhibits in the museum, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- We encourage enthusiasm and discussions between young and old. However, running, shouting or romping around is not permitted.
- We advise keeping a close eye on your children when visiting the museum.

- You can use a mobile phone in the exhibition halls to access the L@kenhal app, but not for phoning. This will enable all visitors to enjoy the exhibitions unhindered.
- Feel free to take notes or make sketches in the museum. We encourage it! Clipboards and pencils can be borrowed from the information desk. However, it is not permitted to use other materials, or the walls or display cases for support.
- Taking photographs is permitted during your museum visit, but please do not use a flash, selfie stick or tripod. Filming is only permitted with prior permission.
- If necessary, you can borrow a crutch, walking frame or wheelchair in the museum.

- Registered guide dogs are welcome in the museum. Other pets are not permitted.
- It is not permitted to smoke in Museum De Lakenhal, including e-cigarettes.
